Change

The trees leaves change colors so effortlessly

they let go to prepare for the season ahead

like the leaves I have changed too

I see myself differently

confident in who I am and know my worth

my mind is quieter and my dreams are bigger

I have grown for the better

Simplifying my life and focusing on what matters

and like the trees my change was gradual

like a leaf falling from a branch

I let things fall out of my life

one by one

to make room for new

for things and people that bring joy in my life

I am stronger than I have ever been

I am happier and more at peace

my roots are grounded

even though I don't know what lies in the season ahead

I will stand tall and still

and put my trust in God's plan for me
